A year ago, I developed a severe addiction to vaping. It was because the entire act of vaping seemed harmless and safer in comparison to smoking. Only one of those things is true.
Vaping is really addictive. And its constituents are not harmless. Hence making it increasingly bad for you.
Now that the government has started taking affirmative steps to ban vaping, it is time people are made aware of the negative aspects of it.
Here are all the things I did to successfully quit vaping:
#1 Ask for help and get a support group
Educate as many people around you as possible. Make sure that your struggles are visible to the people. It is increasingly clear having a support group results in a 80% success rate.
#2 Get professional help
Treat addictions like any ordinary ailment and bring in the white coats. It is essential that you take advice from doctors and follow their prescribed measures religiously.
#3 Get the nicotine gum treatment
Something that helped me tremendously was the nicotine treatment. I chew the gum obsessively and made sure that I carried a pack during all my social gatherings.
#4 Replace your vaping hours with intense workouts
Infusing workouts in my routine literally helped me sweat off my addiction. You can point your entire anger and aggression towards squats and lunges.
So what are you waiting for? Get ready to end this year right and remember to take it one day at a time.
Take care and be kind towards yourself.
