Yeah! Yeah! In 2019, almost everyone I know came around taking care of their skin via elaborated skincare regimes. And as much as I appreciate it, I think its time to move it up a notch. While we now understand the importance of CTM: Cleansing, Toning and Moisturizing, and the added benefits of Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid, there is so much more to skin care than just this.
And so, here are some unusual skincare resolutions for 2020, that I can’t wait to fulfil.
#1 Cleanse more than just your skin
Our skin is highly dependent on our gut, which is regulated by our skin. A deregulated gut results in rosacea, rashes, acne, and allergies on the skin.
In 2020, improve your diet and try detoxing it. It will do wonders.
#2 Get rid of expired make-up
Highly evaluate your makeup products and get rid of everything perishable within the proximity of 2 months. Old products are a breeding ground for bacteria and must be tackled radically.
#3 Follow a 10-10-10 rule
So, here’s how the 10-10-10 rule works:
- Wake up 30 minutes before you are used to.
- Start your day with a 10-minute yoga.
- Calm your soul with a 10-minute relaxation.
- Plan your day for the next 10 minutes, wearing a soothing DIY face pack or sheet mask.
#4 Take care of lymphatics and muscles
Our lymphatics risk getting blocked easily, which make our eyes puff up and our face bloated. So, it is important that we keep regulating it thoroughly. A good step to avoid it is facials and massages.
#5 Reduce sugar intake
Sugar consumption is really bad for the skin, as it puts an accelerator on ageing. Sugar ingested in any form starts glycation in the system and degrades important protein blocks of the skin, resulting in the formation of fine lines, wrinkles, loose skin, which all signal at ageing.
Wish you the best of health and happiness this coming year!
Toodles for now.
