We are a generation of spenders; we earn not to make a living but to maintain a lifestyle, which is undoubtedly an expensive idea. I will be lying if I say that I don’t like shopping or eating out at my favourite restaurant. But, being a mature adult, I must see to it that I have enough savings for a rainy day.
A penny saved is a penny earned. There are ways to protect your hard-earned money, but there are sacrifices to be made. Don’t worry, you won’t have to give up your lifestyle, but make a few adjustments.
Save money through Apps
We mostly shop online these days. They compete to pull customers their way. You can take advantage of these discount wars. Buy your clothes or electronic gadgets in the time of a sale or find a coupon to apply for cashback or discount. You will feel in control too.
Create a meal plan
Most of our money goes into eating outside or ordering home. If you control your urges a little bit and try to create a meal plan, you will save a ton of money through budgeting, and you may lose some of those extra pounds of weight too.
Replace soda with water
To quench our thirsts, we often chose flavoured soda over water. This not only costs you more, but it is also dangerous for your health too. When you are out with your family or friends, try skipping the cold drinks and drink water instead. You will save a lot of bucks plus your body will be hydrated, and be saved from the harmful sugar.
Minimize your debts
Paying interests will drown your money like a sinking ship. If you are overdue on your credit cards, save money any way you can and pay it off. If you have a loan on your head, close the account as soon as you can. Your money belongs to you, not to the banks. Debt is a vicious circle, avoid it any way you can.
