The Oscar Nominations Are Out, Joker Leads With 11

The race is one and it seems like Joker is way ahead of everyone else. Joker has become the first comic book movie ever to be nominated for 11 Oscars. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, 1917, and The Irishman follow with 10 nominations each. The South Korean sensational film Parasite, Marriage Story, Little Women, and Jojo Rabbit are nominated in 6 categories.

I am particularly happy for Scarlett Johansson, she is nominated for both leading and supported actress category for Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit respectively, she has given the performances of a lifetime in each of the films, and I want her to win in both the categories. Frozen 2 is not nominated for the best-animated feature, which can be disappointing for some people but not me, Toy Story 4 is the clear winner in the category.

The best-international feature is undoubted of Parasite, the film is unprecedented and so original that you will be stunned by the twist and turns. One of the toughest categories for the best original screenplay is difficult to predict, all the movies are so brilliantly written, the screenwriters achieved a level of genius.

I want Brad Pitt to finally have his long-overdue Oscar, he has done an exceptional job in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and no actor was better than him. Leo is nominated for the sixth time, but he knows that Joaquin Phoenix is the clear winner here. It will be a moment of pleasure to watch the Joker win another Oscar after the great and late Heath Ledger. The Oscars are on 10 February 2020, 5:00 am IST.
