Rami Malek is currently walking on the top of the clouds because he is nominated in Leading Actor category at the 91st Academy Awards for his performance in Bohemian Rhapsody that will take place on 24th Feb, 2019. The happiness for the fans have also doubled as the movie is also nominated for Best Picture. The actor has already bagged Best Actor award at the Golden Globes including Best Picture. So, the chances of winning the award at the Oscars are also high.
Fortunately, The Wrap reached out to actor after the nominations were announced and Rami expressed his happiness. Though, the actor has cleared that he was not aware of that the nominations will be announced on 22nd Jan.
“I didn’t know [the nominations were] today, but I had a feeling it might be,” the Bohemian Rhapsody star said. “I’m in Paris so I’m ahead of schedule, so I didn’t have to wake up that early. It’s everything you expect it to be — I’m walking on cloud nine. It felt otherworldly. It was snowing outside, so it already felt magical, and the nomination just added to it.”
Rami has also said that he will come with an acceptance speech.
The actor said: “When you have a moment that is this massive, you have to prepare to some degree. I would rather be over-prepared than underprepared. Getting to this place is something I never thought could be a reality. This is tremendous — if I ever get a chance to be up there, I would love to be able to hold it together. It is the cream of the crop.”
We wish him all the luck in the world.
