I personally love Nykaa products. So, when I came across their new foundation, I had to give it a try. So, the company claims that their anti-pollution foundation shields the face against dust and microparticles provides deep hydration, and is oil-free. With 15 shades, yes that’s correct, 15, they are tailor-made for Indian skin tones. The first thing that impressed me was they had a wide range of shades, which means whether you have fair, dusky, or dark skin tone, there is something for you.
Packaging: The foundation comes in a simple black flip-top cap, which is easy to use and travel-friendly. If you were expecting something fancy with the packing, you will be disappointed. But, at the end of the day, what’s inside is all that matters.
Coverage: Nykaa says that this foundation will give you a matte finish and complete coverage. When I applied the foundation, I could see that the finish wasn’t completely matte, but slightly dewy and the coverage is good but doesn’t hide everything. My dark circles were still a little visible, but yes it covered my pimples. If you try to add another layer of foundation to ensure complete coverage, it will look messy, believe me, I tried.
So, the coverage is good. 3.5/5 you could say.
Texture: I have normal to dry skin. So, if the foundation doesn’t hydrate my skin, my face looks way too dry. When I applied the foundation, thankfully, the consistency wasn’t very thick or lotion-like. However, you need to blend it in quickly as the foundation immediately settles on your skin.
Staying power: It stays for almost 6 hours and that’s perfect. I had to opt for a touch-up by 3 PM to avoid oily looking skin.
Price: INR 799 for 30 ml. A little expensive for a foundation that offers medium coverage.
