I have encountered the loss of productivity at work after 2 PM on a daily basis. I felt so sleepy that it disturbed my whole routine work for a while. The tasks which took me only thirty minutes to complete were taking at least one hour. My eyes expressed the tiredness I felt and my colleagues felt dull being around me in the afternoon. One day my boss asked me, do you go to sleep on time? I had no answer, which was an answer. I analysed my mistakes which made me tired and sleepy in the daytime, I found them and fixed them, I think it will help a lot of folks also.

Set a fixed time for sleeping

If you don’t have a tight schedule for sleeping, your body won’t rest enough for the next day, causing you to be tired and sleepy. I understand in the younger years there are many things to explore so and we want to live to the fullest but, when you become a responsible adult, you should stick to a schedule. You will thank this habit later when you excel in your job with energy.

There is a misconception about the entire truth of alcohol and sleep. Yes, people do drink on stressful days to help them sleep. Adenosine is a chemical which helps us sleep; it is increased when we drink, but when the effects wear off in the middle of the night, you are likely to wake up at an ungodly hour and your body will not be rested.

Sleep eight hours

Eight hours is the sweet number for sleeping. If you are getting lesser sleep than eight hours, your day is more likely to be tiresome. If you can’t manage sleeping eight hours, you need to seriously look at your schedule and find a way for your body to relax.
