The new year is here and most of us are filled with pure promises of losing weight and getting in the best shape of our lives. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with that, but people tend to lose hope and will. Well, I would ask you to just follow the one thing that you are going to read in this story.
Recently, a study was performed at The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism by two researchers and it was found that working out before eating breakfast helps in controlling insulin levels and also lose a significant amount of weight.
How was the study performed?
The study took place over the course of six weeks and a dozen men contributed. The end result of the research revealed that men who didn’t eat breakfast before working out lost twice as weight as the men who ate.
According to Javier Gonzalez, PhD, “The biggest takeaways from this study are that the timing of meals in relation to exercise can have a profound impact on the responses to exercise. For people looking to maximize the health benefits of exercise, performing some sessions in an overnight fasted state is likely to provide greater benefits than performing all sessions after breakfast.”
It was even noticed that high insulin levels were reduced with exercise training before, but the case was not the same as after carbohydrate ingestion.
