Getting unwanted tan is a common problem in Indian summers. The heat is so scorching that we cant help to get uneven discolouring of the skin. A tan is your body’s response against the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. The darker the tan, the harder the UV rays. To prevent tan, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight.
There are natural remedies to get rid of an unwanted tan. Most of the ingredients are found at your household groceries only.
Raw Milk and Honey
The milk will moisturize your skin, and the honey will dim your tan. Prepare a mixture of milk, honey, almond oil, and lemon into a thick paste (mix equal quantities). Spread the paste into the tanned areas and leave for more than twenty minutes. Massage before washing it off.
Bengal gram flour and turmeric mask
The Bengal gram flour will exfoliate the dead cells and helps the new cells to replace the dead ones. Turmeric will reduce the pigmentation and provide a glow to your skin. Make a paste mixture of 2 tablespoons of the flour, crushed orange peel, cold rose water, a pinch of turmeric, and milk. Keep the paste on your face for 20 minutes.
Aloe vera, tomato, and red lentil
Red lentils remove even the darkest of the tan, aloe vera is known to heal broken skin cells also the sunburn, and tomato revitalizes the skin. Soak the red lentil for more than 25 minutes in a bowl of water, mix it with aloe vera gel and tomato pulp. Apply and keep for twenty minutes then wash it off.
Potatoes are a great source of vitamin-c, protein fibres, and minerals. They help regain skin pigmentation. Mix potato juice of one potato with a tablespoon lemon juice. Apply for 30 minutes then wash off.
