Just so you know, stomach fly is what happens when you feel sick to your stomach. Doctors call it gastroenteritis, and it is caused by a virus.
Here are the symptoms of it:
Gastroenteritis can appear as diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. It can cause you a fever, headache, chills, and pain in your belly. The flu makes you sick for 12 to 48 hours after you have been exposed to it.
Gastroenteritis can be caused by a number of viruses:
Rotavirus is the leading cause of stomach flu in infants and young children. This virus infects your cells and inflames your stomach lining as well as your intestine. The viruses also cause Bacterial Gastroenteritis. Salmonella and E. coli are also some of the reasons behind the flu.
Here’s how you can treat it:
Most cases of gastroenteritis go away within a few days, without any medical intervention. In case your symptoms are really bad and are prone to last longer, consult your doctor.
Some antibiotics can cure your flu, however. You can also have fluids, calories, and nutrition from fruit juice, vital minerals (electrolytes), sports drinks, or broth. When eating, start with non-spicy things like rice, potatoes, bread, applesauce, or bananas.
Take care of your health this season. Toodles for now!
