Best Western Movies That You Should Consider Watching

If you belong to this generation, then it will be great for you to know that Western movies genre was the most popular one during your father’s childhood and even during your grandfather’s younger days. Why am I saying this? Well, I don’t think many people have enjoyed watching Western movies to the fullest. Somehow these genres gave us actors like Clint Eastwood and Robert Taylor.

Without taking much of your time, here are my picks for greatest western films ever.

The Searchers

This movie is about an Indian-hating Civil War veteran who is on a mission to save his family from an Indian Tribe. This movie has some really racist segments, but the tale and direction of John Ford is something that you must check out.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Many of you might not even put this on a top 10 list, but I highly appreciate this because of the intensity and way the story is being told. This is a long tale of Robert Ford, who joins a gang and how things being to fall out of place. It is a movie with different opinions.

The Wild Bunch

Another classic that is easily my favorite on this list. The film is a gruesome, brutal and never-before-seen story of four outlaws who come out of retirement for one last job. If you haven’t watched this, then do it right away.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

How can I make a list without adding this classic? The story of two men who made a group to search for treasures, but they find an outlaw in their way. It is often said that Clint Eastwood gave his best performance in the film, and I cannot deny that fact.

Once Upon a Time in the West

I wanted to end this list on a high-note, and there’s no better movie than this. The classic tale of a stranger who joins hands with a man who wants to save a widow from an evil named Frank, played by Henry Fonda.
