According to Erin Palinski-Wade, RD, CDE, author of Belly Fat for Dummies, “Fiber slows down digestion, so it’s possible that the slowing of the intestinal transit may help ease digestion and relieve nausea. I wouldn’t recommend high fibre foods as a cure for nausea in all circumstances.” The statement is simple to understand that we can consume apples while feeling nauseous but not a lot.
Ginger is one of those spices that has been used around the globe since past times to treat stomach related issues. It contains bioactive compounds, such as gingerol, paradol and shogaol, which are quite helpful for a person going through nausea. If you are feeling nauseous because of motion sickness, surgery and chemotherapy, then ginger can work wonders for you. It is advised to consume 0.5–1.5 grams of ginger root per day to treat nausea.
# Water and Clear Beverages
One of the things that you are often advised when you don’t feel like eating due to nausea is drinking water. Keeping yourself hydrated is one of the best things that you can do to fight nausea. Some of the drinks advised are: water, oral rehydration solutions, sports drinks, soda water or flavoured sodas, iced tea, clear juices, and coconut water.
# BRAT Diet
BRAT stands for Banana, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. Well, this is the basic diet which most of us know is great when stomach is not feeling well. Many people find these food items easier to consume and a good source of energy and nutrients. They are also high in potassium, which allows your body to gain necessary electrolytes that you might’ve lost due to vomiting. Though, it is advised to eat them only when feeling nauseous as they don’t have enough nutrients.

# Acidic fruits
It has been seen and noticed that acidic food items don’t work well with a bad stomach and this is why eating these foods is a strict no! It will be better for you to keep away from such food items to keep your body safe. Go for other fruits like banana.
# Oily Foods
Well, I don’t think I need to explain to you that oily foods can not just be bad, but they can indeed worsen your condition. These food items promote gassy feeling and poor digestion.
# Dairy Products
Dairy products can be harmful for your health when it comes to nausea as they promote vomiting.
