Chris Evans aka Captain America wrote and directed Before we go. Its a movie about two strangers meeting in an extremely difficult time for both of them, trying their best to solve things.
Before we go is not your typical romantic popcorn flick where boy meets girl, they fall in love. The lead characters Nick and Brooke, are already in love with someone else, but they have not stopped blaming themselves for some mistakes. I think we have all been there, so we can relate to these characters.
They wander into the streets of New York, trying to catch a train, crash parties as musicians in an effort to save them for themselves. Sometimes we need who accept us with our flaws and not judge us, even if it is just for one night. If it happens, we learn to move a step ahead in understanding forgiveness and to move on.
Before we go is a movie about figuring things out, and accepting yourself with the qualities we think are flaws. It’s about being okay with not being okay all the time.
Take the leap, say what you have to say. Let your heart out, because love is what gives life a meaning. Nothing is in our control, not even who we love or how we love. But, if you accept yourself, you will be spared of atleast some of the pain.
My favourite quote from the movie is “This is no perfect. There will always be struggle. You just need to choose who you wanna struggle with.”
