When I say Goa, you may think of its golden sand and enticing beaches. But then, I visited Goa, and it all started to make sense. Food and drinks are taken seriously and boy, you’d be amazed if I tell you that Goan cuisine has much more to offer than you can imagine. So let loose the foodie in you and embark on a gastronomic adventure in this tropical paradise.
Cafe Lilliput, Anjuna Beach
Cafe Lilliput offers an array of delicious food, be it North Indian, or seafood. Being right on the beach is an added asset. This place is for less clustered, and people would definitely enjoy it. We had Calamari (Squid), Bacon and scrambled eggs, and boy that were most mouth-watering traditional dishes endeavoring to preserve the authenticity of Goan cuisine.
Ritz Classic, Panji
Hands down, one of the best seafood thali’s I’ve ever had. This place is never empty. You’ll see almost every other individual experiencing this thali. It involves all kinds of seafood; you name it, and it’s there. Highly recommended for all the seafood lovers. We had fish thali and Prawns Xacuti here. Good Pictures of it will express for itself
Saturday Night Market, Arpora
The Saturday Night Market isn’t just called The World’s Local Market for no reason. Spread over acres of the vast open field, it is for foodies like me. Your initial stop should be the Food Corner, with offerings from around the world like some orange braised beef Burrito, Russian Grilled chicken with some cold and sparkling Budweiser.
Xavier’s Shack, Baga Beach
Do not miss this brilliant shack as you are strolling down Baga beach! Fab food and drink. Best of all, the perfect team there to look after you. There is something for everyone here. Best food we had in Goa! We asked for spicy food, and we got it. Most amazing from the lot was Crab Curry, and I can still feel the taste while writing this.
Cafe Bhonsle: Panjim
This joint is a century-old! Cafe Bhonsle reminded me of the restaurants down South. I felt thrilled looking at the stewards as they kept suggesting to us what to order as we had gone there at an odd time. We kept ordering, and we couldn’t believe after seeing the bill. It was very cheap for the number of dishes we ordered. It’s a must-visit when in Goa
